The Traditional Mas Archive endeavors to see masquerade as a continuing art form, and embraces the uniquely multicultural history that gave birth to Caribbean festival drama and masquerade.  We seek to preserve the culture and performance elements of Caribbean masquerade through documentation, and we strive to personalize Carnival, and other forms of mas, by recording and contextualizing performers, groups, and events that draw inspiration from this Caribbean art form.  Finally, we join with collaborators  around the world in developing, promoting, and executing productions and workshops that draw inspiration from traditional masquerade.
